"GAME OF THRONES": LETTER OF QUERY

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN

Foremost, I cannot help but acknowledge the brilliant minds behind such a masterpiece that could compel emotional eruptions of volcanic proportion, no matter the audience composition.

Before now, twitter experienced a trending uproar after the American audience saw the red wedding episode.  I could not understand what could spur such an outrage until I was privileged to have my senses assaulted in more ways than I could ever
believe possible.

Mr. George R. R. Martin and the others concerned, WHAT KIND OF A BLOODY GAME ARE YOU PLAYING?!

Yes, Ned Stark had to loose his head to prompt the rebellion.  And yes, Theon Greyjoy had to put Winterfell in ruins to heighten the intrigue.  But the red wedding?  It was too much an entertainment to play God with!

I am compelled to read the book and anticipate whatever rude shock might be in the offing.  But my experience with Clive Cussler's "Sahara" keeps echoing in my head: bad idea, very bad idea!  The "Sahara" book was so thrilling to read that I hungered for the movie.  But when I saw it, I hated it and still do hate it.

This is my fear that has warranted this query, Mr. Creator(s):  Will there ever be a revenge sweet enough to match the atrocity called the red wedding?  After watching the red wedding episode, I almost abandoned the series because I feared that the tragedy was over-cooked.

"The Last Castle," "Titanic," "Brave Heart," "Gladiator," "Million Dollar Baby," "Prison Break" and the rest of them were necessary tragedies...

 NOT THE RED WEDDING!

For now, I have forced myself to continue to watch "Game of Thrones" for one character and one character alone!  And I dare you all, whoever it may be, to kill that character!  Do it and that shall be the end of my love for the "game".  (I think?)

I am not sure if I should end this query with regards.

Yours sincerely,

A concerned viewer of the "Game of Thrones" that is still in shock!
