The last
time I was coerced into talking about power drunks I ended that critique with a
question. This time around I want to
begin with that question. “A drunk will always command attention
and very likely amuse his/her audience. But when that drunk is someone with
immense power to influence society, will this drunk not muster others of like
mind within the society and deprive that society of its sanity?” Nigeria’s Rivers
State House of Assembly has answered my question and proven to me that my
theory of power drunks cannot be faulted.
The most
moving scene of all the display was the fact that someone did swing with all
his might to hack down a fellow man all in the name of politics. I have refused to call it a show of shame
because it is not apt a description. It
is a reminder of how the evil of Aluu 4 was perpetrated.
IT IS A SHOW OF WICKEDNESS!
And can you imagine that same man that was so intent to hack a fellow man down with a stick go to lie on a bed with a tube attached to his hand for a photo shoot?
These drunks
have danced naked and I have chosen not to be ashamed but afraid. For if in broad daylight wickedness of this
magnitude can be put on display what will happen when night falls? What would have happened if there was a
trigger happy power drunk with a gun at hand?
For those of you that are yet to see it, you need to go see it for you to know why many don’t believe that the Nigerian Police is your friend, especially when they become stooges of power drunks.
No matter whoever
might have started this, for whatever reason either imaginary or real, every
single person to have acted major roles in this uncensored violent movie should
not be allowed to dignify or excuse their actions with comments until they have
been stripped of every iota of reason for their drunkenness; their power!
And if no
law in the land of Nigeria would make this recommendation of mine come to pass, then movie enthusiasts should ready themselves
for a sequel that will definitely be more bloody than what was witnessed in
this trending X-rated political movie.
GOD SAVE NIGERIA'S DEMOCRACY!
